Great Minds...

Allen's Brain has inspired me of late. I can't stop doing brain-in-a-jar gags. Maybe there's a new feature here...?

Question: Why does the brain look different in every gag? Why can't I draw a consistent brain? It's obviously the same brain, but you wouldn't know from looking at these cartoons.

Which version does everyone like best? I admit I'm still trying to find the best way to draw a cartoon brain. Don't think I'm there yet.
p.s. My son (16) voted for the Thanksgiving brain.

I like the "empty stomach" one best. The top two do look alike, though.

I agree with denese.

It shows the two hemispheres the best I think - thus looking smarter than the others. lol

and the top two do look alike.

I do like to inspire! I am your biggest bodiless fan. I'm pretty fond of the two-hemisphere look, two.

Um, make that, "two-hemisphere look, too."

Maybe we could hear from other parts-in-jars?

I'll go along with the two-hemisphere crowd as the first two look disturbingly like my morning danish.

Hey, ANY brain gag is a good gag.

Keep 'em coming!

I'm clearly very late to this one, but I cast my vote for the "empty stomach" brain as well.

And I can definitely see you making a new comic completely based on "brain in a jar" gags. For some reason, I think that has great syndication potential...
