First Post of 2009!

I used this image on some New Year's cards I sent to various clients.

I usually send a card for Christmas, but thought I'd try something a bit different this year.

I noticed a significant drop in cards I received by mail. PLAYBOY sent out an e-card this year. A new trend?

Anyone else still send paper cards at the holidays -- either business or personal?

  1. I, too, noticed a decrease in the number of paper cards received this year, and especially in the number of people who sent out an accompanying "Christmas letter" telling of the person/family's doings over the course of the year. I know we -- my family that is -- sent out a physical Chistmas card but no Christmas letter as we have in years' past.

It might have more to do with the economy than anything else...when you're mass-producing Christmas cards and/or letters, that paper can get pretty expensive.

It must be cool to be able to draw your own professional Christmas card and mail it out...one of the perks of being a cartoonist, I suppose.
